About the doctor

Dr. Basem Jaber is a diagnostic radiologist. He earned his medical degree from Damascus University in 2015 and completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center (Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic) in Pennsylvania.

He is currently an Abdominal Imaging and Imaging Informatics fellow at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His professional interests include body MRI, oncologic imaging and emergency radiology, alongside imaging informatics, clinical workflow optimisation and the application of artificial intelligence in radiology.

He received the Silver Medal Award from the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) and a Certificate of Merit from the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in 2022, and is a member of SIIM, ARRS and the Society of Abdominal Radiology. He has taken part in international initiatives to teach radiology in lower- and middle-income countries.
